KP Voice is Kaiser Permanente’s nonpartisan grassroots advocacy program. Join today to advocate for public policies that support our mission.
It’s about the choices that shape our health and communities. This is why KP Voice matters.
What is KP Voice?
KP Voice is Kaiser Permanente’s nonpartisan grassroots advocacy community, which helps shape and guide health care policies that support KP’s mission.
We are a group of over 14,000 employee, retiree, and physician advocates from every Kaiser Permanente region.
KP Voice in action
As a nonprofit organization, Kaiser Permanente must be nonpartisan. This means KP Voice never endorses a political party or candidate.
Here are 2 ways we make a difference.
- KP Votes: Through KP Votes, we use our voice, brand, and resources to make voting easier. Each year, we set up an online resource center that has voter registration tools, key election dates, and KP’s positions on key ballot measures.
We also work with programs and groups like National Voter Registration Day and Vote.org to help promote voter registration, ensure voter readiness, and share our support for voting rights and participation.
- Public advocacy: KP Voice advocates on health care issues like flavored tobacco. Evidence showed that sweet tobacco flavors were attracting young people and creating a new wave of health risks.
In response, KP Voice united its members to help ban the sale of flavored tobacco products. Our members highlighted the health impacts and backed laws that keep kids safe. These efforts helped pass bans in California and Oregon. This success is what happens when KP employees and physicians speak up — for health, for our nation’s youth, for the future.
